Old World Rustic Charm for Christmas

Old world rustic charm has always been near and dear to my heart. Esther Asbury is with us today sharing this lovely rustic Christmas card in beautiful shades of blues and brown. Though non-traditional colors for Christmas, they are just gorgeous on her card.

Esther used both stamp sets and the die set featured this week as our Product of the Week at 20% OFF. It's a wonderful pairing of products that offers options and fun galore for the holiday and winter seasons. Be sure to read all the sale details at the end of this post.

Designed as a Christmas card, with a simple swap of sentiment this lovely card would be perfect for use all winter long!

Note that Esther stamped the tree throughout the card, but she used the die for that tree in a totally independent fashion, NOT cutting the stamped trees but rather cutting the tree opening within the card, placing designer paper beneath, then cutting another tree from coordinating designer paper and placing it atop the opening/askew.

I absolutely LOVE this look and her creative use of a coordinating stamp and die!

O Christmas Tree (stamped and die cut trees)

Wonder of Christmas Sentiments (sentiment)

Darling Deer (die to cut deer)

Small stars were die cut - any small star dies will work!

All of the designer paper Esther used is digital that she printed.

Thank you so much, Esther, for this most interesting and lovely Christmas card filled with that nostalgic and old world rustic charm!

A Holly Jolly Christmas Book Cover

We have a super fun project to share today from Deb Felts. Recycling thin chipboard packaging, she created a binding for Christmas book pages she plans to make throughout the month. What she is making and how she will attach them is currently a mystery, so we'll have to keep watching throughout the month to see what she creates. Will they be scrapbook type pages, junk journal type pages, or will it be a binder for cards? Your guess is as good as mine, and I truly am so curious to see what she does!

Today is the LAST DAY you can grab our Christmas Stockings & Mittens at 20% OFF! A NEW Product of the Week surfaces each Sunday, so if these stockings and mittens speak to you, grab them while on sale! Sale details are at the end of this post.

This was made exactly like a card except with a thicker spine rather than merely a fold.

This beautiful design would be perfect for a card, too!

Christmas Stockings & Mittens (mittens, sentiment, snowflakes)

Snowflake Blessings Border Strip (snowflakes on spine)

Holiday Greens Mini (die for greenery)

A Wonderful Christmas (designer papers throughout)

Lovely detail!

This is the book cover opened and laid flat.

The chipboard was cut 4.5" high x 8.5" wide, then scored at 3.5" in from each end, leaving you with a 1.5" spine. The folded book cover is 4.5" high and 3.5" wide.

Gosh, loving all that plaid!

And this is the inside of the book cover opened up and laid flat.

The plaid as well as all the other prints used and fun cutouts are all in the same paper pad:

A Wonderful Christmas (designer papers throughout)

Now, we have to wait to see how Deb fills this fun book cover!
