Happy Easter Bunny

I love the soft pastels of the Easter season, found in florals, dyed eggs and attire. And though my heart of hearts goes towards more scripture based cards for Easter, sometimes a bunny and eggs are just what we need, especially with children in mind. This one from Deb Saaranen is absolutely adorable and will be cherished by young and old alike! And it's a quick make, which is always a good thing!

A Unique Fun Fold Daffodil

Good morning. Fun folds are just that - FUN! Well, today's fun fold from Deb Felts got me at hello, as they say! The base is tiny with a rising circular ring to which the stem of daffodils is attached. It's a simple card, unique in so many ways and an absolutely perfect way to showcase a lovely floral image.

Beautiful detail!

The card base is a single sheet at 4.25 x 5.5", scored in half at 2 1/8".

Center the circle die to make the cutout, then create the circular ring to adhere to base on one side only.

This is the underside of the card base that Deb finished off as well.

A Scrappy Stampy Card to Encourage

It's always a wonderful thing to send a card of encouragement to a friend when they need a little pick-me-up. Karen Letchworth created such a card, filled with encouraging words, a removable bookmark as a gift and just lots of fun! She used up odds and ends of this and that and grabbed meaningful verses from one of our scripture sets, along with a fun wreath image.

I am showing you this card in a rather unconventional way today as this is actually the card inside. Yes, such a wonderfully done inside. It is so lovely it would work very well as a card front, too.

Thus my title, a scrappy stampy card. Karen employed scrappy type techniques, using bits and pieces of this and that, glued and stapled together, while adding lovely and meaningful images and sentiments to bring forth the message intended.

Grace Upon Grace

 Often times a card can be so, so simple to make, yet so profoundly impactful. Such is the case with the card Deb Saaranen is sharing with us today. She created an opened Bible with scripture on one page and a wooden cross on the other. She added a thin ribbon down the center to serve as the bookmark. She placed her Bible atop a floral piece of designer paper, reminiscent of a vintage table cloth. Done and absolutely gorgeous!
