Double Z Fold Father's Day Card

Good morning to all as we (try to) settle back into a normal routine. We've had our first round of fabulous weather with warm temps, and we are all so enjoying it! Father's Day is just shy of 4 weeks away, so we still have plenty of time to get those masculine cards made for all those special men in our lives, fathers or not, father-figures are everywhere and are deserving of a card as well!

Memorial Day Greetings to All

Good Monday morning on this Memorial Day - a day we set aside to remember and give honor and tribute to those who gave all in their service to our country, allowing us to live this free and wonderful life in the USA that sadly, we so often take for granted. Freedom is NOT free. It has been paid for by so many. And as I am now getting up in years, I am taking it upon myself to educate our grandchildren as to the history of our country and WHY we can live as we do, teaching them to pay tribute to all who so bravely went before them. They are still quite young, but never too young to learn!

And now on to a lovely project from Karen Letchworth. She created a small folio (all the rage these days!) to Celebrate America! And we have a HUGE CELEBRATION coming up this year!

Karen started with a sheet of 6 x 8" designer paper, scored to fold in 1/2, then flipped up about 2.5" to form pockets on the inside, cutting the inner fold of the pocket at an angle on the inside (seen better in photo below).

She added a nice variety of patriotic themed items both on the front and tucked into the inside.
