A Scrappy Stampy Card to Encourage

It's always a wonderful thing to send a card of encouragement to a friend when they need a little pick-me-up. Karen Letchworth created such a card, filled with encouraging words, a removable bookmark as a gift and just lots of fun! She used up odds and ends of this and that and grabbed meaningful verses from one of our scripture sets, along with a fun wreath image.

I am showing you this card in a rather unconventional way today as this is actually the card inside. Yes, such a wonderfully done inside. It is so lovely it would work very well as a card front, too.

On the left is a fun pocket envelope with a pull-out bookmark.

Here we see the card front with the bookmark fully exposed.

Thus my title, a scrappy stampy card. Karen employed scrappy type techniques, using bits and pieces of this and that, glued and stapled together, while adding lovely and meaningful images and sentiments to bring forth the message intended.

Grace Upon Grace

 Often times a card can be so, so simple to make, yet so profoundly impactful. Such is the case with the card Deb Saaranen is sharing with us today. She created an opened Bible with scripture on one page and a wooden cross on the other. She added a thin ribbon down the center to serve as the bookmark. She placed her Bible atop a floral piece of designer paper, reminiscent of a vintage table cloth. Done and absolutely gorgeous!

She used John 3:16 as her scripture, with her focus on the world, easily pulled into the theme with the paper selections she chose to use. John 3:16 for Easter - Done Fancy!

Another good morning to all! Esther Asbury is sharing her gorgeous project today. She often creates pages (essentially card fronts) for her Memorydex box. I truly love this idea and hope to one day begin one myself. With Easter coming, the project she shares today features the beautiful words of John 3:16 paired with our sweet Easter bunny, on a card base that is made very fancy, evoking thoughts of Easter outfits from years gone by. I keep saying this, but every time I see our bunny, my mind just sees little girls from years ago in those fancy, fancy Easter outfits with bonnets, gloves and tiny purses. That thought makes me smile every time!
