Nautical Themed Birthday Wishes

We here at Stamp Simply love creating stamp sets in coordinated/companion series. Doing so allows you to puchase one or two sets at a time, then continue to build on the series, offering more and more options for design. Esther Asbury is here today sharing a wonderful nautical themed card combining sets from our Lighthouse Series and our Great Lakes Series, which all fall under the broader classification of our Michigan Series. All made to work together in terms of image style and font, they are totally interchangeable, giving you so many, many design options.

This fun fold card is a variation of the popular Joy Fold Card, which I often describe as being one card (backwards) on top of the base card. This is very similar in design.

This is the card front, fully closed.

The Mackinac Bridge (bridge, sentiment)

Opening the top flap with bridge, this is what you now see.

He is the Light (lighthouse)

Sliding over, this is the underside of that top bridge flap, holding the sentiment and giving us a peek at the next layer.

He Stilled the Storm (wheel/helm)

And this is the true card inside of the base card.

And the only embellishment used throughout this project is the drywall tape. I remember that wonderful discovery a few decades ago - LOL. Fun then and still fun, now!

Scriptural Card and Bookmark

Good Monday morning on this Holy Week as we prepare for Easter Sunday. Karen Letchworth is sharing an elegant and gorgeous, though very simple to make, project with us where she created both a card and a coordinating bookmark to tuck inside, both using verses from scripture dealing with forgiveness and salvation, and isn't that what it's all about!

Simply Elegant Condolences

We all need sympathy cards, far too often. So keeping a supply of simple to make sympathy cards on hand is almost a must and Deb Felts is here today sharing a gorgeous example. When she set out to make this card she wanted to create a card with understated elegance, scriptural reference and Christian symbolism. Well, that she did, and in such a beautiful way.

This card is a standard A2 size at 4.25 x 5.5", folded in a gatefold style, but such that the opening is a bit off-center, held closed with a beautiful belly band that slips off.
