_____
Our Prize Offering & How To Enter
Stamp Simply is offering a $25 Gift Code to some lucky winner!
We'd like you to answer this 2 part question in the comments, and a winner will be randomly drawn from those comments.
1) Please tell us HOW EARLY prior to a season, do you start creating for that season. Like WHEN do you start making cards for fall, Christmas, Easter, Spring/Summer, etc.
2) Do you keep on hand a stash of cards for those always needed cards - like birthday, sympathy, or perhaps baby, graduation or wedding - depending in part on your stage in life.
Just leave your comment and we will pick a winner on Friday, 5/29, and announce it sometime over the weekend.

Did you know that today (the Friday before Memorial Day) is National Poppy Day? Sponsored by the American Legion, today is the day Americans wear red poppies to honor fallen military members and support living veterans and their families. With that in mind, Deb Felts created this stunning patriotic coffee card featuring poppies. Truly beautiful!
There is so much symbolism here - coffee for our hop today, poppies for both fallen and living veterans on this National Poppy Day, a gold star for the Gold Star Families, stars and stripes for our grand old flag and the banner with the statement that We Will Never Forget.
That's a whole lot of punch packed into one fabulous card!
A Cup of Java (die cut cup, text on cup)
Pretty Poppies (floral)
Patriotic Sentiments (Never Forget sentiment)
Fishtail Sentiment Banners (to cut above sentiment)
Stars Five (to die cut star) - 50% OFF!
Star & Stripes Forever (designer paper)
Luxury Pearlescent Metallic Cardstock/Gold (to cut star, handle)
Pearls - 30% OFF!
Here's a closer look at the beautiful card front.
This is the card opened up.
Old Glory (sentiment)
Patriotic Sentiments (subtly stamped stars)
Farmhouse Pierced Nested Hearts (die cut heart)
And this shows you the back side of the card, another real treat!
If truth be told, Deb told me she smudged ink on the back of the card, so she had to cover it up to make it presentable - ever happen to you? Love her quick fix!
Stars & Stripes Forever (designer paper and cutouts)
And when you open the Land of the Free cutout, we have a place to tuck in a gift card - GREAT SAVE!!!
Coffee or Tea? (hug in a cup, a little coffee, a lot of Jesus)
Stars Five (to die cut star) - 50% OFF!
Thanks so much, Deb, for this fabulous project encompassing so many themes!
Totally fabulous!

Such an amazing project!
ReplyDeletethank you so much for being a returning Super Sponsor!
I make cards year around with whatever I feel like making, regardless of the season. I have a huge (3-4 boxes) of cards on hand for whatever occasion pops up.
ReplyDeleteThat coffee and tea collection looks incredible! Wow
ReplyDeleteThank you for returning as a sponsor. I make cards year round for the seasons, especially fall and Christmas. I never stop making those. I also keep boxes of cards on hand for whenever I need one to send.
ReplyDeleteWonderful variety. Especially like the Memorial Day sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWhen I craft, seems to depend on my free time. Last year I made all my Christmas cards in the summer. Most times I make my seasonal cards about a month in advance. My goal is to have a “stash” of cards on hand, but for now, I create as I need them.
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE that you did this Patriotic card for the hop!!! Freedom is not free! Thank you for making such an amazing card and for being a super sponsor again this year! Question 1: I try to make them at least a month in advance but to be honest it doesn't always work out and I am rushing to make them to get them out in time. Question 2: yes, I do have on hand cards so I am not always rushing at the last minute to make a B-day card or a sympathy card.
ReplyDeleteThank you for returning as a sponsor. I make cards year round for the all the holidays! I LOVE the card design with the RWB vintage style!
ReplyDeleteSoooo beautiful I love this card. I create Holiday cards all year round even better if they are also coffee themed. I have a stash of Occasions..maybe not organized lol. I am starting to donate cards and it feels good.
ReplyDeleteI create Christmas cards all year so there is no rush in November and December. And I have a stash of cards ready for most any other occasion at all times.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card by Deb, and I love your awesome coffee and tea themed designs! Thanks for being a sponsor!
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas, I try to make a few each month so I'm not caught empty handed when December rolls around! Other holidays I normally make cards as needed shortly before the holiday. I do keep a nice stash of cards on hand, especially birthday cards!
Such an amazing card -- it's beautiful! Thank you for being a Super Sponsor!
ReplyDeleteI create all year long for all holidays and occasions! Never want to be caught short! If I have any extras I donate them! Thanks for being a sponsor!
ReplyDeleteNobody throw anything at me........I make Christmas cards year round. I literally start in December because by November I have all my cards ready to be posted with the stamps on them. They go out the day after Thanksgiving. I keep sympathy cards and birthday cards year round. I don't make cards for other occasions except when it gets close. Thank you for the hop and the inspiration. I hope people are teaching their children what it means to be of service to our country. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteWonderful patriotic coffee themed card - love it! Off to explore your products. Thanks for being a sponsor!
ReplyDeleteI have that coffee die! I love the Americana theme! Chris Franco
ReplyDeleteI love your patriotic designs! I generally make cards a few weeks before the holidays, especially like Easter or Christmas, since I only send out a few of those. I make more at Christmas and start around October or so. I make a lot of cards for blogging or design challenges that I keep in a big box so I can always pull one out if I need one. However, I like to make cards for people that are very personalized--favorite colors or themes.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! Thanks to some amazing Christmas Challenges, all year, I make Christmas cards all year. I always have birthday cards on hand, but need to work on my sympathy stash. If I find a good challenge, though, any holiday or theme is fair game! Thanks for your ongoing support for this fabulous hop!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
Great cards ! I make seasonal cards all year round and always have cards ready for birthdays etc
ReplyDeleteDeb's card is so sweet. Thanks for sponsoring, Sharon. Stamp Simply is absolutely awesome, and the whole crafting community is grateful for your continued support. God bless you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteStash of cards, yes. Creating ahead of time? Well that would require planning, eh? I've always worked best when procrastinating ;) Love your Memorial Day themed products.
ReplyDeleteFabulous inspiration from Deb! Seasonal cards I tend to procrastinate. My stash of cards is mostly Birthdays with blank inside for personalization. Thank you for sponsoring the CLBH!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Americana cards. Gorgeous paper and products. I make Christmas cards all year long, but other holidays (Easter, Halloween) I make as the season nears. I always have a stash of birthday cards and thinking of you cards on hand. Thanks so much for sponsoring!
ReplyDeleteWow! Gorgeous card! Thanks so much for being a sponsor!
ReplyDeleteLove the inspiration

ReplyDeleteWOW...great cards...so many products to choose from. Love them all. I make holiday cards all year round and always have a stack to send. Thanks for being a sponsor of this very cool hop.
ReplyDeleteI make holiday cards all year long and have a stash ready to address and send. Thanks for all the great card inspiration .
ReplyDeleteme encantan esas flores, es preciosa la tarjeta
ReplyDeleteOh... such a beautiful card for Poppy Day! I remember back in the 60's when my siblings and I helped our Mom distribute little crepe poppies on that holiday.
ReplyDeleteAs for your questions- 1) Over the past few years, and especially with the help of a few Christmas themed challenges, I have started creating Christmas starting in January!
2) I keep a stash of cards on hand for all the reasons you noted, plus an assortment of "Thinking of you", "You are Awesome", "I miss you" and several with scripture verses.
Sorry. I just posted that last looong comment anonomously!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card inside & out and I just love the patriotic coffee theme of it. I make Christmas cards all year long, but other holidays, I probably start a month or so before the holiday. And yes, I keep a ton of cards on hand for every occasion. I let my family go through them all last year to help my stash - I needed more room for new cards! lol Thank you for being a sponsor!
ReplyDeleteI rarely make Christmas cards anymore, and when I do it is to enter them as an exhibit in our county fair.
ReplyDeleteMy intention is to have an abundance of cards on hand for birthdays, baptisms, Easter, Thinking of You and other occasions. HOWEVER, when I do manage to have some cards made I will use them for a gift for a friend or family. And I am blessed that my family continues to grow with grandbabies that I’ll never have enough birthday cards on hand. 🥰 The only cards I manage to have on hand are sympathy cards.
Beautiful Memorial Day card! I make Christmas cards all year. I keep a stash of birthday cards, but usually make sympathy cards when needed. I try to work at least a month ahead for anniversary cards which I only do for family. Easter and Thanksgiving usually end up rushed!
ReplyDeleteWow this is beautiful. So much thought and detail. I love that the back is designed. I love this so much. Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome gift card/holder. Beautiful papers and message. 1. I like to be as early as i can think about it. Bday cards are done for the yr by dec. other holidays 2-3 months ahead.2. I do not have a stash for each but need to!
ReplyDeleteI love your card. It has so many layers and I love that there is stamping and paper on the inside. It is so visually appealing. If possible, I like to have a 3 month start to make cards for a season or event. I am a slow crafter. Usually by the time something is released for the season, I can’ get the item and have time to finish. I usually take last seasons products to make my cards an event. 2. I try to keep a stash in, but it’s hard to keep it up.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely products and inspiration! I tend to create whatever I'm feeling, I don't always follow the seasonal theme.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous fun fold card!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being an amazing super sponsor!
Wow, Gorgeous card... Love your Coffee/Tea collection. Hugsxx
ReplyDeleteFun card! I usually start making Christmas cards about a month before the holidays. I don’t make a lot. I do not usually have a very big stash of birthday cards and tend to make them as needed.
