'Tis the season for gift giving and my, oh my, WHAT to buy? Sometimes it's easier to give a gift card (or cash) and let the recipient choose their own gift - that way you can never go wrong. It is also nice to keep extra gift card holders on hand for those sometimes unexpected situations where you feel you'd like to give a gift but truly, were unprepared. Problem solved - grab a gift card holder and quickly fill it!
Deb Felts is with us today sharing two lovely gift card holder options. The construction process is the same for each card (shared below), but one is decked out and oh! so pretty, while the other is a quicker make using designs cut from winter themed patterned papers. We'll start with the fancier one.
Card No. 1 - Fancier
Isn't this absolutely gorgeous - sure to thrill the recipient.
Christmas Peace (sentiment)
Holiday Mini Greens (die cut greenery)
Winter Time paper pad (printed paper)
Luxury Pearlescent Metallic - Quartz White (shimmery white cardstock)
1.5" Wrinked Ribbon - Red - 50% OFF all colors and widths
Pearls (copic colored)
I absolutely love all those layers.
Beautiful detail and beautifully done!
This is the card opened up - you can see the card/money pocket on the right side.
Angels Among Us (angel)
Peace & Joy Word Die (die cut peace)
Circle Dies (to cut opening)
Grunge Festive Tones paper pad (darker green)

Card No. 2 - Paper Only
This card is a fun make, coming together more quickly as there is not much in the line of embellishment or stamping. Just playing with pretty papers!
Winter Time paper pad (printed paper)
This is one view of the inside, just using cut outs from the same paper pad.
How fun!
And here it is opened more fully, showing the pocket.
Christmas Stockings & Mittens (small snowflake)
Grunge Festive Tones paper pad (darker green)
Pearl (copic colored)
And this view shows you both cards - whatever your fancy, there is one to fit your needs perfectly!
And in her own words, here is the 'how-to' from Deb:
These have a special "W fold" inside (4.5 x 11 scored at 5.5 and also 2.75 from each end), the very back of which forms a pocket for money or a gift card (remember when you're glueing to leave the pocket open!). One of the cards is stamped, and the other is made only with printed paper cut-outs (also flat for mailing).
