It is that time of year in our neck of the woods that the snow is coming whether we are ready for it or not, so we might as well enjoy it - and that we do! There are so many wonderful winter activities for both young and old alike, but one thing we don't see too much any more is children sledding down a road of hard packed snow/ice with an old style sled with runners. They have given way to perhaps the more practical and light weight saucers, toboggans and tubes. But oh! what fun we had as children sledding on our bellies down the road in front of our house - yes, a road for cars - covered with snow and ice. Glad we are still all here - LOL.
