Masculine Textures

When we make cards for the guys, I think we sometimes over-think the process. Men are happy with simple cards, and when we can make those simple cards speak to them or their interests, all the better. And we can often do that with our choice of paper and textures used. Deb Felts is sharing 2 such cards today - both for the men, both relatively simple to create and both absolutely stunning!

This card was made for a car enthusiast born in 1952, which is the mileage reading on the odometer Deb created. Little touches like this to personalize a card go a long way in my opinion!

A Man of Knowledge Dies - (gears)

Postale Dies by Tim Holtz (Sizzix) - (numbers)

Paper used:

Metal Textures by Craft Consortium

Retired map paper - similar in Vintage Emporium by Craft Consortium

Luxury Pearlescent 105# Cardstock in Copper - (gears & matting)

Here's a nice close look at that gorgeous detail.

Thanks so much, Deb. LOVE the creativity on this one!

This card, clearly, was made for the football enthusiast who reigns No 1.

It all starts with that fabulous paper:

Metal Textures by Craft Consortium

Collector Dies by Tim Holtz (Sizzix) - (No. 01)

Tag Collection Dies by Tim Holtz (Sizzix) - (tag)

1.5" Striped Ribbon - Orange/Ivory

Older brads from stash and thin paper strips make up lacing detail.

And here is the inside.

Grunge Light paper pad by Craft Consortium

A Godly Man - (sentiment)

Thanks so much, Deb, for both of these wonderful cards with the guys in mind.
