May Your Cup Runneth Over

Deb Felts is with us today sharing this lovely tea cup card, inspired by an experience she recently had in Scotland at afternoon tea when the waiter accidentally missed her cup and poured tea all over the table - oh my. My heart breaks for that waiter, but I am sure a few giggles were shared and Deb came home with some fun, though unexpected, inspiration for today's card. Truly, one never knows from where our inspiration arises!

And even with spilled tea in mind, this is lovely!

Pumpkins and Spice and All Things Nice ...

... that's what fall days are made of!

Esther Asbury is with us today and she took the artistic liberty of creating some gorgeous blue pumpkins and they are soooo pretty! She combined the pumpkins from one set with the lovely sentiment from another to create this stunning fall card. And as I've said so very many times, holiday projects done in non-traditional colors always speak to my heart, and this is certainly no exception.

Happy Plaidurday

Happy Plaidurday to all. If you are a Yooper, you surely know what Plaidurday is. It is a celebration of warm and cozy PLAID that takes place on the 1st Friday of October each year. Started in 2011 by a local young man, Bugsy Sailor, originally from our county in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, it has grown into a worldwide celebration where gatherings occur to take photos of large (very large) groups of people wearing their beloved plaid clothing. Super fun!

Welcome October with a Fall Wreath

And here we are into October already. Honestly, the older we get the more quickly time seems to fly! October is Pastor Appreciation Month and a perfect time to remember and extend thanks and gratitude to not only those serving in the ministry but to all those who serve our communities on a daily basis. Where would we be without them all. THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts, to all who serve, help, protect and comfort us. YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

Esther created a deep and rich fall card for today featuring a wreath and lovely leaves and acorns with a sentiment on the inside from our Pastor Appreciation Series.

As for supplies, I'll start at the top and work my way down.

In Esther's own words - here is her "how-to":

"The background is a piece of mixed media paper that's ink smooshed with gathered twigs and walnut stain distress ink. I stamped the leaves from Give Thanks in several places and added text from one of the Scripty Background sets. I added metallic paint splatters and inked the edges in vintage photo distress ink. The stamped wreath is layered over two Tim Holtz die cut wreaths with fussy cut leaves and acorns attached to one corner."
